Volker Naulin begins as new head of section Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy June 1.st., 2012.
Volker Naulin is an internationally renowned expert for transport processes and turbulence with a focus on turbulence in magnetically confined fusion plasmas. He was educated in Theoretical Physics at Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf. In 1996 he joined the fusion group at Risø National Laboratory. From 2006 to 2011 he was leader of the Taskforce Transport at the European fusion experiment JET near Oxford. He has worked at DTU since 2010. He has strong links to both DTU Matematik and DTU Informatik. Volker has been guest professor at Austrian and French Universities, has lectured regularly at Düsseldorf University and is involved in the Sino Danish Center for Education and Research.
